Stable Channels is an innovative open-source project aimed at integrating bitcoin-backed dollar balances with the Lightning network.

The project's core objective is to enhance the stability of bitcoin and attract more interest and investment into the Lightning network by matching BTC shorts, who seek fiat stability, with BTC longs, who provide it. This mechanism allows for the creation of synthetic dollar balances on one side of the channel while the other side becomes leveraged long.
